Fall is the Perfect Time to Visit Lake Tahoe

As locals, we look forward to the slower pace of both spring and fall. I have lived in Lake Tahoe for over 10 years now and fall has always been my favorite season. While the diversity of the colors is not as intense as the East Coast, the same crispness is in the air.
Fall visitors have the advantage of value priced rates, fewer crowds, restaurant and activity discounts and of course the majestic fall scenery. It is a good time to take in a hike or drive around the lake. The Kokanee salmon are finishing up their spawning in Taylor Creek - always an interesting site!
What could be more perfect than sitting in front of a crackling fire on a crisp autumn night after a day of hiking or mountain biking?
It doesn't get much better!
