Windsurf North Tahoe

Glide across beautiful Lake Tahoe with a woman who loves to windsurf and delights in teaching others how to excel at this exciting sport and enjoy the process.

Alvina Patterson has been windsurfing since 1983 and she is a certified boardsailing instructor. She has quite a collection of trophies from windsurfing competitions. Alvina has won first place in the 20-mile Lake Tahoe crossing several times, first place in the Women's Nevada State Championship Sierra Cup at Washoe Lake seven times, and first place in the Master Women's Hi-Ho (hang in, hook on) in the Caribbean . . . to mention a few of her victories.

Alvina's enthusiasm is contagious and her instruction is uncomplicated. She teaches her winning techniques in two phases. Land training is supplemented with a simulator and lake training is one-on-one. Lake Tahoe light morning winds are perfect for beginners and typical southwest thermal winds in the afternoon add to the thrills of those who can stay aboard.

Windsurfing equipment is provided for students and can be rented by experienced windsurfers. Call for details and rates for instruction and equipment rentals.
